1. How do I register?
Registration for new families start on March 27th at
10:00 A.M. at our site. Typically our families have
arrived a little early, to start lining up before the
doors open. A lot of our classes fill really quickly,
so plan accordingly. It's a first-come, first-served
registration. To register, first check out our
"Classes" page to determine which class would work best
for you.
What class do I
sign up for?
Please have your top two classes selected when you show
up.
Next, print off our registration materials:
Have a check made out to Lake Washington Toddler Group
or "LWTG" for the yearly non-refundable registration
fee. The fee is as follows:
Single or sibling registration: $85 per family
Twin registration: $120 per family
2. Can I bring my child(ren) to registration?
Your children are certainly welcome to come to
registration, but keep in mind you may be waiting in
line for a while before entering our classroom.
3. What if I can't make it to registration on March
27th?
You're welcome to have a spouse, grandma, etc. come in
your place. However, each person that comes can only
register one family. If you decide, you can always
register after March 27th. Check out the
Classes page for class availability.
4. How do I know which class to register for?
Check out our
Classes page. Choose a
class that fits your child's age as of August 31, 2010.
For example, if your child was born on 10/1/2009,
he/she can be placed in the 6-11 month class or the
family class. He/she will be too young as of August 31,
2010 for the 12-23 month class.
5. I have a younger child -- can he/she come attend
class also?
We have many classes with "sibling spots"; choose one of
these. These are detailed on the
Classes
page. When you register, make sure that you let us
know you're taking a sibling spot; these spots are
limited. There is also extra tuition when you're
registered with more than one child.
6. I'm pregnant, but won't have the baby until after
class starts. Do I still need to register for a sibling
spot?
Please register for a sibling spot as soon as possible.
Spots are limited, so there's a chance there might not
be room in your class for your newborn after class has
started. But you won't need to pay the extra tuition
until the quarter after your child is born. For
example, if your baby is born 10/1/2010, you will pay
"single" tuition for fall quarter, and then "sibling"
tuition for winter and spring.
7. What if my child misses the age cutoff by a few days
or weeks?
You will still need to register for the class he/she
fits into as of August 31, 2010. There are always other
children in the same situation, so you won't feel
singled out.
8. My child is exceptionally gifted/bright. Can he/she
be in the older class?
Our age ranges are pretty strict, so please register for
a class that your child fits into as of August 31, 2010.
9. All of the classes I'm interested in are full. What
should I do?
If you are not currently enrolled in a class, you can be
on up to three wait lists. There are always switches
and drops throughout the year, so you stand a good
chance of still getting into one of your first picks.
10. Finances are tight. Are there scholarships
available?
We do have a limited number of need-based scholarships
for tuition available every quarter. Please email the
Registrar for more
information.
11. I'm interested in visiting a class before
registration. How do I schedule a visit?
If you are interested in a classroom visit, please email
the Registrar for
more information. This will need to be a parent-only
visit. At this time we cannot accommodate
unregistered children at this time. However, we do have
an open house scheduled on March 24th from 3:30-5:30
P.M., where the entire family can visit, play and meet
with the teachers. This is really the best way to see
your child in action.
