Luke Nelson is committed to encouraging, enriching, and equipping marriages in the Northwest, and around the nation, by providing individuals, couples, and groups with the critical relationship training and resources needed to fight divorce.

Most recently, Luke has been a catalyst for the Northwest and national marriage movement in his role as Executive Director of Stronger Families (formerly Families NW). In his time with the organization, Luke and his team have launched seven community-based marriage and family nonprofit organizations, rallied 1,700 churches to form 45 regional Marriage and Family Agreements, and effectively networked with leaders from all segments of society - business, community, church, government, and media.  He is lead author of the “Oxygen for your Relationships Seminar” currently being presented to military families and our community and church networks.

As an ordained minister with over 25 years of pastoral experience, Luke has spoken to many churches and civic groups about the importance of marriage and family wellness.  In the last 15 years, he has trained over 1,000 pastors and counselors in the esteemed PREPARE/ENRICH Inventory, the nation’s premier premarital preparation program. Luke has also consulted with many Northwest organizations and businesses, presented Love and Logic parenting seminars for local school districts and private schools, and spoken to churches and civic groups on a variety of marriage and family issues.

Luke and his wife, Deb Nelson, have been happily married for 33 years. They currently reside in Redmond, Washington. Luke and Deb have two grown children, Erik and Karissa. They love spending time with their grandsons, Drew and Noah.
